Volume Based Surcharge (VBS) adjustment
Tug company Svitzer has advised that due to the number of vessels calling
at the Port of Eden the Volume Based Surcharge (VBS) has been reduced from
3.4% to 0.0% with effect from 10 February 2014.
On average, this represents a saving of A$1, 900 per vessel.

Dredging works in Barranquilla
Dredging works are underway to deepen the Barranquilla ship canal,
including the leading lines, to a depth of 40′ (12.19m).
The work is expected to be completed in May.
