Russian visitors to Oceanology International eager to make contact with their British peers

Amongst the Russian delegation are

  • and Mr Vladimir Kapustin, General Director of OAO VNIPIneft.

About the organisations – and who they want to meet

Baltiysky Zavod is one of the major shipbuilding enterprises in Russia.
The Baltiysky Zavod shipyard specialises in construction of icebreakers and ice-classed vessels (with nuclear-powered propulsion, as well as conventionally powered), large commercial vessels for carrying various types of cargo, and naval ships. The company also manufactures a wide range of marine propulsion equipment and machinery for equipping ships built at the shipyard, as well as for supplying other yards. Baltiysky Zavod also manufactures heat exchanges for nuclear power plants and is a major producer of non-ferrous and core-mould castings. One of the most promising fields of the shipyard’s activity is the construction of floating nuclear power plants.

Baltiysky Zavod is interested in communication with current and prospective business partners. Baltiysky Zavod deals with Trelleborg Sealing Solutions in the area of damping elements for the FSU construction under project 20870. Survitec Group take part in process of tender for supply of survival solutions for the Project 22220. Cathelco provides the same project with the cathodic protection. Baltiskiy Zavod is interested in cooperation with Tyco Marine Solutions in the area of fire extinguishing systems, with Nabrico in the area of deck hardware, with PROP SCAN Marine Technology due to the measuring assemblies for propeller pitch measuring.

JSC «SPMDB «Malachite», provides construction and trials of diesel-electric submarines, nuclear-powered submarines and manned engineering underwater vehicles for ocean exploration. Apart from submarines projects creation, among the current projects of «Malachite» is the creation of engineering means for exploration of the Arctic shelf.

The two mission delegates from JSC «SPMDB «Malachite» are eager to meet specialists in underwater positioning and metrology, underwater communications, unmanned underwater vehicles, UUV, ROV. BAE System, Bluefin Robotics.

Research and Design Technological Bureau «Onega» is one of the leading engineering design companies in the Russian shipbuilding industry. Their major activities include:

  • Repair and modernization of ships and vessels
  • Utilization and rehabilitation of civil vessels
  • Design of furniture for ships
  • Civil marine equipment design
  • Design and project documentation creation
  • Mr Novoselov is eager to meet those involved with electric motors, electrical equipment, subaquatic station-keeping.

OAO VNIPIneft performs activities and renders services for the facilities of oil and gas producing, oil refining and gas processing industries, oil and gas chemical, chemical and fertilizer plants:
