
Bart Veldhuizen
Frankfurt/Main, 2 April 2015 – Bart Veldhuizen (48) has joined the Board of Managing Directors of DVB Bank SE on 1 April 2015. Specifically, he will assume responsibility for the Bank’s Shipping Finance and Offshore Finance divisions in the future. The Bank’s Supervisory Board has passed the respective resolution.
Bart Veldhuizen brings on board a wide, international range of experience in providing advisory services and raising finance for companies active in maritime shipping and offshore exploration and production. With Bart Veldhuizen’s appointment to the Board of Managing Directors, the Bank has taken the required steps to safeguard continuity in its top management team, its focus on growing profitability, and securing the Bank’s leading market position in the global transportation industry.
Bart Veldhuizen joins DVB from Swaen Marine, London, the company he founded and owned. Swaen Marine specialises in providing advisory services to the international shipping industry. In addition, he held numerous non-executive directorships with leading shipowners and private equity houses in the past. From August 2007 to October 2011 he was Managing Director and Global Head of Shipping at Lloyds Banking Group, London, where he was responsible for origination, structuring and loan portfolio management of the bank’s global shipping finance business. Previously he had worked for NIBC Bank, The Hague, since August 2002, where he was responsible for financings in the shipping and energy sectors.

Ralf Bedranowsky
Ralf Bedranowsky, who is currently responsible for DVB’s Shipping Finance and Offshore Finance divisions, as a member of the Board of Managing Directors, will in future assume responsibility for DVB’s risk management, amongst other tasks. Moreover, the Supervisory Board resolved that Ralf Bedranowsky will succeed Wolfgang Driese as CEO and Chairman of the Board of Managing Directors, with effect from 1 July 2015. Wolfgang Driese will retire from DVB for reasons of age on 30 June 2015. It is intended to propose Wolfgang Driese for election to the Supervisory Board after a cooling-off period of one year.
