Mooring and unmooring of vessels off Pulau Tekong | |

Reclamation works have been going on at Pulau Tekong, since 01 April 2015 to 01 October 2015.During this period, bulk carriers, self propelled barges and tug boats with barges in composite unit carrying bulk sand will be transiting Kuala Johor to the Pulau Tekong reclamation project area. Masters of vessels and harbour craft shall keep a proper lookout for these vessels, proceed at a safe speed and navigate with extra caution when in the vicinity of the mooring buoys off Kuala Johor.The mooring and unmooring of vessels will be carried out in the daylight hours (0700 hours to 1900 hours ) during the period of reclamation work.
The following mooring buoys off Pulau Tekong will be deployed for mooring and unmooring of the bulk carriers. The mooring buoys will be removed upon completion of the reclamation.

Charity Cruise in Cruise Bay | |

There will be a Charity Cruise happening on 21 August 2015, from 1500 hours to 1630 hours, in Cruise Bay along a designated route.The co-ordinates of the designated route are as follows:WP1 – 01 ̊ 15.854’N / 103 ̊ 48.549’E
WP2 – 01 ̊ 15.783’N / 103 ̊ 48.465’E WP3 – 01 ̊ 15.647’N / 103 ̊ 48.464’E WP4 – 01 ̊ 15.647’N / 103 ̊ 49.339’E WP5 – 01 ̊ 15.761’N / 103 ̊ 49.339’E WP6 – 01 ̊ 15.685’N / 103 ̊ 49.253’E WP7 – 01 ̊ 15.728’N / 103 ̊ 48.562’E WP8 – 01 ̊ 15.850’N / 103 ̊ 48.559’E
The craft will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.
During the cruise, the craft will be moving at a maximum speed of 6 knots and sail boats will operate under power along the designated route. Safety boats will be deployed to warn other craft of the cruise.
When inside Cruise Bay, mariners are reminded to: a) Maintain a proper lookout; b) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution; c) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 05 (Cruise Bay Control); and d) Communicate with Cruise Bay Control on VHF Channel 05 for assistance, if required.
