It was a pilgrimage this time! Never ever before have any of Capital Link’s events in the Square Mile had such a monumental importance and attendance! Timewise this event coincides with the global economy being on the edge, and shipping and offshore in our humble view are greatly affected, or will be greatly affected given also the geopolitical hurricanes…

With the room bursting to its seams, Nicolas Bornozis, Capital Link’s President, introduced the event which was held in partnership with shipping conglomerate Clarksons Platou Securities.  Another introductionary  short speech came from Erik Helberg from Clarksons Platou Securities and an emphatic presentation of London as a global investment destination by John Millar, the Head of Primary Markets at London Stock Exchange.

The rituals followed from the markets guru  Dr. Martin Stopford, the non-executive president from Clarkson Research Services Limited.

Eight different panels with excellent speakers and moderators covered the entire spectrum of planet Ocean’s biggest and most important of all businesses: shipping to all intents and purposes! Some speakers had to be changed even at the last moment, but their “replacements” proved equally worth of attention!

Networking breaks and lunch proved lively as well  as the cocktail reception which followed in the evening.

We were pleased and honoured to get the first question at the forum and participate strongly  in many of the rest of the panel debates and also privileged to manage, once again, to have a live interview with Nicolas Bornozis, a very happy man indeed to conclude the event.

Viewers can listen herebelow to this live encounter…:

Congratulations to Capital Link’s team, to the partnership of the event, those cooperating and all sponsors – global, event ones, supporters, the media and all who come from all over the world to make this forum a monumental one.
