DATE: February 04, 2012-COUNTRY: Singapore-PORT: all ports Re-appointment of recognised application service provider for long-range identification and tracking conformance testing

With effect from 1 March 2012, “Pole Star Space Applications Limited” (Pole Star) has been re appointed as the Singapore Registry of Ships’ recognised Application Service Provider to conduct Long Range Identification and Tracking (LRIT) conformance tests for Singapore ships, in accordance with the procedures and provisions set out in MSC.1/Circ. 1307.

Please note that as of 1st March 2012, the fee for each LRIT Conformance Testing would be S$450. As highlighted in Shipping Circular No. 23 of 2011 on the new LRIT payment arrangements, this fee is payable directly to Pole Star. All other procedures relating to the application for LRIT Conformance Testing and LRIT Conformance Test Report remain as stated in Shipping Circular No. 19 of 2010.
