The Kiel Canal Authorities have announced that due to repairs, the New Big North Lock Chamber Brunsbuettel will be out of service from 23 to 27 April and from 7 to 11 May, 2012.
The New Big South Lock Chamber and both Old Lock Chambers will remain in service during these periods.

Please note that there will be a holiday of 3 days starting from 21.04.2012 Saturday until 23.04.2012 Monday (Weekend + Children’s Day). All official institutions and banks will be closed from 21.04.2012 to 23.04.2012 (including 23.04.2012). Please make all of your crew, spare, provision, etc arrangements and forward them so that we can clear and deliver them to your vessels timely. In the mean time, some ports may be closed between these dates and official services will be increased by 50% (pilotage, towage, mooring, customs), therefore please check with us prior calling any Turkish Port. GAC Istanbul will be on duty during the holiday.
