DATE: May 21, 2012 – COUNTRY: India – PORT: Kandla – Prohibition of use of Thoraya satellite phone in India
This is to inform that Thoraya satellite phone is prohibited for use in India and any vessel arriving at Kandla having the above phone should disclose the same to the Customs and Police Authorities and also the phone should not be used while the vessel is in India. The use of phone in spite of the prohibition shall constitute a criminal offence.

DATE: May 21, 2012 – COUNTRY: Australia – PORT: Sydney Passenger – Movement Charge or PMC increased
Pls be informed the charge for “Passenger Movement Charge” or PMC is increasing from A$47 per pax to A$55 per pax from July 1 2012.
PMC is charged to cruise ship operators for each passenger on board on departure from Australia. Crew and passengers who have been in Australia for less than 48 hours (ie deemed in transit) are exempt
This rate will be maintained for 12 monmths after which it will be increased annually based on CPI increases.
