HSH extends solar portfolio in Italy

Long-term finance for five solar farms in Lombardy and Emilia-Romagna

HAMBURG/KIEL 21 June 2012

HAMBURG/KIEL HSH Nordbank has structured long-term finance for five turnkey solar farms in northern Italy. The Luca Menci I & II portfolios situated in Lombardy and Emilia-Romagna has a total nominal peak output of 10.5 megawatts. The finance for the Berlin-based investor White Owl Capital AG (“WOC”) amounts to 32.5 million euros. The project was developed by Gehrlicher Solar AG, one of the largest German developers.

“With the expansion of our portfolio in northern Italy – one of our core markets – we have further enhanced our already good position in the area of renewable energy, “ said Lars Quandel, Head of Origination Energy of HSH Nordbank. He added that the Bank hopes to continue its close collaboration with White Owl Capital in the future too.
