HAMBURG/KIEL HSH has provided the finance for part of Europe’s currently largest solar park in the French region of Meurthe-et-Moselle. The sponsor is company Sonnedix, which has acquired the project “Toul 3” with an output of 24 megawatts (MW) from French electricity utility EDF EN.

The project finance has an overall volume of EUR 90 million. The plant, part of the Toul-Rosieres solar park with an overall output of 115 MW, has been producing electricity for the past month. The park was installed on the site of a former Nato airbase near Nancy. “In financing ‘Toul 3’ we are once again demonstrating our commitment to the European core markets in the renewable energies segment, “ said Lars Quandel, Head of Renewable Energy at HSH Nordbank. The Bank is aiming for further good collaboration with Sonnedix in the future.
