The work entails carrying out of subsea rock installation by Fall Pipe
Pontoon barge “Zinkoon 6” that will be moored near the Shell SBM. The barge
will have a circular safety working zone of 300-metre radius centred at
the barge.
A safety boat will be deployed in the vicinity to warn other craft to keep
clear of the working area.
Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and
international day and night signals.
When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
(a) keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
(b) maintain a proper lookout;
(c) proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
(d) maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 68 (West Control);
and
(e) Communicate with West Control on VHF Channel 68 for assistance, if

Loading at reduced rate
Loading at Port Kembla Coal Terminal is being carried out at a reduced rate
following a major equipment failure of its shiploading conveyor (NC14),
resulting in a 10 hour delay, last week.
The plan is to commence repairs from 0700 hours tomorrow (3 September).
The Operations Planner is attempting to minimise the consequences of this
outage on road and rail receivals, however it is likely that some inbound
movements may be slowed to match pad space availability.
