Typhoon Odette

At 4:00am today [21 September], the eye of Typhoon “ODETTE” (USAGI) was
located based on all available data at 30km East of Basco, Batanes
(20.4°N, 122.3°E) with maximum sustained winds of 215kph near the center and
gustiness of up to 250kph. It is forecast to move West Northwest at 19kph.

Southwest Monsoon affecting Central and Southern Luzon and Visayas.

FORECAST:
Batanes Group of Islands, Cagayan including Calayan and Babuyan Group of
Islands, Apayao and Ilocos Norte will experience stormy weather with rough
to very rough seas.

Northern Aaurora, Ilocos Sur, La Union and the rest of Cagayan Valley and
Cordillera will have rains with gusty winds with moderate to rough seas.

The Provinces of Cavite, Batangas, Occidental Mindoro and Palawan will
experience cloudy skies with moderate to occasionally heavy rains and
thunderstorms which may trigger flashfloods and landslides.

Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon and Western Visayas will have cloudy skies
with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms.

Mindanao and the rest of Visayas will be partly cloudy to cloudy with
isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the west to southwest over the rest
of the country and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to
rough.
