Around 100 members of Young Shipping Professionals (YSP) Greece, boarded the “Hellas Liberty” in Piraeus on Wednesday, 6th November to attend a conference on “Slow Steaming”.
Speakers included Ms Irene Anastassiou of Hill Dickinson International, Ms Elina Souli of Skuld Hellas, Mr Chris Spencer and Ms Jessica Tyson both of CF Spencer & Co, whilst Chairman of the conference was the YSP Board Member, Alex Tsavliris of Tsavliris Salvage.
The presentations provided plenty of insightful information from differing perspectives and contained the all important ingredient of a little humour! Guests were additionally treated to a brief video clip on how the last remaining Liberty vessel was brought from the Hudson River to Greece by Captain Vangelis Kouzilos of Costamare. Whilst, drinks and “nibbles” were on hand after the presentations which ensured all the guests left suitably content!
