
1st Primary School of Nikea – Grades 5 and 6
The “HELMEPA Junior” Art Exhibition titled, “Sailing in Clean, Blue Seas”, has come to a successful close. The Exhibit was kindly hosted by the Hellenic Maritime Museum between 23 October and 22 November in Piraeus.
Besides the hundreds of adult visitors to the Museum, over 1, 300 students together with their 84 accompanying teachers from 22 schools across Athens and Piraeus visited the Exhibition. As well as enjoying the unique exhibits on display at the Museum, visitors young and old had the opportunity to admire the brilliant paintings of the children-members of the “HELMEPA Junior” Program and be privy to their concerns about the future of our planet as expressed through the artworks.

HELMEPA wishes to warmly thank the President of the Museum, Ms A.Anagnostopoulou- Paloumbi, the Board of Directors and the staff of the Hellenic Maritime Museum for kindly hosting the Exhibition and for their fruitful cooperation with the aim towards informing and raising the awareness of all those young and old on issues pertinent to the protection of our nation’s marine environment.
