New Design – straight from the workshop!
GreenSeas Trust continuously seeks ways to better our methods of outreach and education. We believe messaging about plastic pollution doesn’t need to be long or complicated. We want people to glance at the bin and get the message that our seas are in peril.

For 2025, we have redesigned our BinsForGreenSeas with a brand new look. Not only are our BinsForGreenSeas eye-catching and unique, but now they are even better at getting across the aims of the Charity.

GreenSeas Trust receives feedback from councils on how well our bins are doing at encouraging people to recycle. They told us the prominence of our BinsForGreenSeas at their coastal fronts have resulted in increase recycling levels. However, they also felt the back of the BinsForGreenSeas was under untilised. We took their advice.  The large recycling logo at the back is now enhanced to get the message to Save Our Oceans, unmissable.

To further build on this revamp, researchers from GreenSeas Trust engaged with people on a one-to-one basis to get their thoughts on the overall messaging. We found, some tourists had a hard time understanding the text on the front of our BinsForGreenSeas due to language barriers. To solve this, we have incorporated the turtle, with a plastic bag in its mouth, to act as a visual cue and educate people about the marine plastics problem, without the need to read text.

The photos above show our brand new graphics. We are sure it will increase the recycling of more plastic beverage bottles.
Our next BinForGreenSeas
We will be showcasing our latest BinForGreenSeas design when we unveil it at our newest location, in Margate next month.

Located within Kent, Margate has been a significant maritime port since the Middle Ages.
It is a popular staycation destination, particularly for Londoners, with a wealth of amazing history and attractions.

Our brand new BinForGreenSeas will make a great addition to the waterfront. It will encourage visiting tourists to look after the seaside they are enjoying during their visit as well as improve plastic recycling efforts for the council.
