Countess Marie Ghisi holding the “Moretta”
Following her December launching of her book La Bauta, The Venetian Mask as a Political Asset at Daunt’s in Marylebone High Street, Countess Marie Ghisi delivered and excellent slides presentation in London’s Academia Italiana Club at 55 Princess Gate, Exhibition Road, London at the premises of the Polish Club.
A full house, as always of Countess Ghisi faithful gathered to honour her and listen to a superb account of the City of Venice and how it all started. Hope next time we have some politicians too so we can have a great debate! She was introduced by Anthony Letts and in just over an hour she took us back to history/memory lane. Excellent!
Prior to the talk, we had the chance to enjoy the excellent champaign, sparkling and fruity wines from Le Grizze introduced by Gianni Ferrari. After the talk many from the audience took their launch at the Ognisko restaurant situated at the ground floor of the building; excellent!
