Hamburg/Istanbul, 14 November 2014. The Hamburg-based logistics company Buss Port Logistics takes part in the international transport and logistics trade fair logitrans in Istanbul from 19 to 21 November. Buss will present itself as part of the German-Turkish joint venture Buss Erk. Buss Erk, which is formed by Buss and Erk Lojistik, will introduce its service portfolio at the LimakPort in Iskenderun – in the South of Turkey – at its booth 414 in hall 10. In addition to the presence at the trade fair, Buss CEO Heinrich Ahlers will also be taking part in a delegation by the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure. The delegation will meet with Turkish economic representatives and associations.
“The Turkish market is still registering strong growth rates. Our interim
conclusion after three quarters of a year of cooperation with our Turkish partner in Iskenderun is entirely positive, ” as Heinrich Ahlers describes the involvement in Turkey. Since February 2014, Buss Erk has been handling the transshipment of bulk and break bulk cargo as a service provider at the multipurpose port of Iskenderun. The estimation is to transship more than 2 million tons per year using 90 port workers.
In accompaniment of the logitrans trade fair, the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure has organized a delegation from 17 to 21 November, led by Parliamentary State Secretary Dorothee Bär. In addition to a visit at the trade fair, the programme includes bilateral talks with Turkish companies and associations, press talks as well as a reception at the German Consulate General.
The current eighth edition of logitrans is held at the Expo-Center in Istanbul.
Turkish as well as international exhibitors will present a broad pallet of product and service portfolios in the areas of transport, traffic and logistics. Germany, Austria, Luxembourg and the Czech Republic will be present with their own country pavilions.
