September 26, 2015, Panama, Panama Canal
The critical phases of the repairs and maintenance work at Pedro Miguel, Miraflores and Gatun Locks, as detailed in Advisory to Shipping No.A-29-2015, will be completed during this weekend. As the number of ships waiting to transit the Canal has increased considerably, the remaining work is being postponed to meet customers’ need. As a result, and in accordance with the rules governing the Transit Regulation System, Condition 1 will be reestablished beginning Tuesday, September 29, 2015.

Applications for reserved transits under Condition 1 will be received beginning at 0900 hours on Saturday, September 26, 2015. The Just-In-Time (JIT) slots available for supers and regular vessels, as well as the booking slots available through the Auction Process, and the slots available for regular vessels less than 30o feet in LOA, will also be available.
