Following from Aleksandra Karpowicz: ‘Let’s Talk About Sex’ has won another Award at the National Open Art Competition! And this one is a really special one as it’s the Visitors Choice Award!
‘Let’s Talk About Sex’ made a long way to win this Award:
– Firstly, there have been over 4000 submissions for the competition from the whole UK
– Secondly, there have been 500 artworks shortlisted
– Thirdly, 130 artworks have been selected for the final exhibition at the Royal College of Art
– Finally, the visitors have chosen 1 favourite piece from the show. And this is ‘Let’s Talk About Sex’!
I would like to thank everyone who made it to the exhibition and who voted for my work. I’m very happy that it was so well received by both jury and the audience.
The piece also won the Best Portrait Award at the National Open Art Competition, which was announced in October.
‘Let’s Talk About Sex’ is now displayed at the Winners Exhibition at the Pallant House Gallery in Chichester. The show will run to the 13th of December.
