|Temporary establishment of acoustic monitors for Dolphin survey|

|For approximately 9 months, an acoustic monitor will be temporarily established on the seabed [at Lung Kwu Tan and Siu Ho Wan] in each of the following locations (WGS 84 Datum):
(A) 22 deg. 23.920’N / 113 deg. 54.197’E
(B) 22 deg. 23.458’N / 113 deg. 54.443’E
(C) 22 deg. 23.034’N / 113 deg. 54.701’E
(D) 22 deg. 18.560’N / 113 deg. 58.647’E
(E) 22 deg. 18.910’N / 113 deg. 58.988’E
(F) 22 deg. 19.024’N / 113 deg. 59.605’EThe acoustic monitor is an instrument for collecting dolphin data. It is a structure of pyramid shape with a height of about 0.8 metre and a square base of 1.0 metre by 1.0 metre. Its bottom will be embedded in the seabed.Regular diving operations for inspecting and retrieving data from the acoustic monitors will be carried out by a work boat in the above locations once every month.
The hours of work will be from 0900 to 1730 hours.
Vessel engaged in the operations will display signals as prescribed in international and local regulations.
Vessels navigating in the vicinity should proceed with caution and keep clear at slow speed, bearing in mind that there are divers working at the locations.

|Ahead of the Chinese New Year, the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) has issued a reminder to the shipping and port community on the importance of exercising extra caution, navigational prudence and best practices during festive seasons which see increased traffic and passenger ridership.In its Port Marine Notice No.10 of 2016, the MPA encourages the shipping and port community to observe the following:
a) Observe safe navigation practices
b) Proceed at a safe speed
c) Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where applicable
d) Do not consume alcohol when navigating or operating machinery
