| The office hours of all [Hong Kong] District Marine Offices will be unified with effect from 4 July 2016 (Monday) for a trial period of six months as follows:Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.The Marine Department (MD) operates eight District Marine Offices (DMOs) at Annex providing licensing and port formalities services to vessels with inconsistent office hours. To optimize the resources of MD and enhance the services to the public, the office hours of the DMOs will be unified as above. During the six months trial period, MD will review the effectiveness and collect feedback from stakeholders. Apart from the counter services, MD has also provided round-the-clock services for handling the port formalities through the Electronic Business System (eBS) that has already extended to allow individual vessel owners to submit applications for renewal of vessel licences. Renewal of vessel licence applications may also be sent by mail to any DMOs, which will be processed within 6 working days and the new licence will be sent to the owner’s registered address by mail. | A temporary loading facility has been established at a seawall off North Point. The facility has one discharging platform protruding about 8 metres seawards from the seawall. The temporary loading facility will operate for a period of approximately 23 months.From time to time, barge will berth at the facility within the operation area bounded by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (A) to (D) and the adjacent shoreline: (A) 22 deg. 17.298’N / 114 deg. 11.346’E (B) 22 deg. 17.316’N / 114 deg. 11.324’E (C) 22 deg. 17.356’N / 114 deg. 11.363’E (D) 22 deg. 17.338’N / 114 deg. 11.384’EThe hours of operation will be from 0700 hours to 1900 hours. No operation will be carried out on Sundays and public holidays.
