| Beginning at 2000 hours on Friday, November 18, 2016, until 0800 hours on Saturday, November 19, 2016, the EAST side of Gatun locks will be out of service in order to perform scheduled repairs on the northeast approach wall and on rising stem valve 223.As a result, and in accordance with the rules governing  the Transit Reservation System, Condition 1.a for the Panamax Locks will be in effect on Saturday, November 19, 2016.Applications for reserved transits while Condition 1.a is in effect will be received beginning at 0900 hours on Wednesday, November 16, 2016. The Just-In-Time (JIT) transit slots, as well as the booking slots available through the Auction Process, and the slots available for regular vessels less than 300 feet in LOA, will continue to be Panama offered during this period.

| On the evening of Sunday 13 November, the shiploader at the Queensland Bulk Handling coal terminal in Brisbane was damaged due to extreme weather.The loader is currently inoperable. A preliminary assessment of the damaged indicated that it could take several weeks for it to be repaired.As a result, during this time, the terminal will not be able to load coal onto ships.
