The river has been closed and a safety zone of 1/4 north and south of the location has been set up. Deep draft traffic is restricted in the safety zone. Shallow draft may transit until salvage operations to recover the spud begin. Deep draft traffic has been halted through the pilots and an outbound vessel has stopped its way and will anchor until the removal of the spud.
