OPENING SESSION: This session will reflect on the Commonwealth Trade Reviews 2015, and 2018, moving to 2020

·        Welcome Remarks by Chair, Head of International Trade Policy and Hub & Spokes Section (a.i), Commonwealth Secretariat, London.

·        The Commonwealth Trade Reviews: presentation on major findings by ITPS.

·        Discussants (tbc): Current Chair (UK) Outgoing Chair (Malta) & Incoming Chair (Rwanda).

3:30 – 4:30pm   

Thematic Issues: Commonwealth Services Trade: This session will explore the unique attributes of intra-Commonwealth trade including common regulatory structures, law, language and ways of doing business and how these may be leveraged in view of increased digitalisation of services trade.

Thematic Issues: Adapting to Industry 4:0: This session will explore how the developing Commonwealth can leverage the trade advantage to take advantage of new trade opportunities as well as better mitigate trade related challenges, including regulatory.
