Lines watch requirement for wood chip vessels

Due to the strong history of drift-off events with wood chip ships on Berth 6 at Bell Bay, the vast majority of which have occurred due to slack lines, Tasports has introduced measures to mitigate the risks.
As such, from 1 August, a lines watch will be required to be in place at all times during ship loading of wood chips to ensure that ships lines are maintained. The lines watch is the cost and responsibility of the ship via the agent.
At this stage tariffs for lines watch are unknown.

Temporary transit draft rescinded
