The BDI below the 500 points threshold amid perplexed Geopolitics yet again…
The BDI (Baltic Dry Index), thanks once again to the volatile Capes, lost 13 points since yesterday and now stands at 489. The overall economic uncertainty on Planet Ocean produced by the politicians’ mismanagement will lead us to the darkest days of mankind unless they resign here and now. The results of their mismanagement can be seen with the Trade Wars which are sinking the shipping markets, the biggest and most powerful sector of Global Economy. John Faraclas‘ brief daily recap:
The Capes’ BCI was down 81 points and now at 27 (twentyseven) sends another Mayday… Losing the 100 points …threshold in one again another disaster… Wonder what the gurus contemplate on now…
Steady rise for the Panamaxes BPI – 33 points plus yesterday, 31 today surpassing the 700 points threshold, 720!
Holding on the Supras with the BSI now at 502 – plus two points…
Five points plus for the Handies’ BHSI – mana from heavens… at 267 survival is paramount for his size…
All in all we are down 1,758 points since the end of December 2013 when the BDI stood at 2,247 points, with a short lived rise at 2,530 in Sept 2019 and if we “calculate” the loss is 2,0411 points… CAUTION as China might attempt further “disruptions”…
The Wets with mixed feelings yet again; the last published BDTI (Dirties) and BCTI (Cleans) stood at 720 – minus 13 and 596 – plus 19 points respectively…
The WTI as these line are being written stood at US$ 33.60 – might slightly fall, very uncertain and dangerous…
The Geopolitics, as stated in the preamble above coupled with Coronavirus – the biggest excuse for politicians to cover their sins, will produce tsunamis. Take cover.
