Capes surge further whilst Wets dive amid explosive geopolitics
The BDI (Baltic Dry Index) is now over and above the 1,700 points – 1,705 to be precise, 88 points plus since yesterday; Wets tumble and explosive Geopolitics coupled with Planet Ocean’s worse Recession amid the Coronavirus (COVID-19) anathema will demolish Peace on Earth in its entirety. The BDI makes “strides”: 1,558 on 22/6, 1,615 yesterday all THANKS to the Capes. Let us see how much more volume the Chinese need to cover and protect its people…
The Capes’ BCI is over and above the 4,000 points following the 213 points gained earlier on today and now standing at 4,189… Pinch me… but after the Chinese fill their imports, be ready to hear the music… on 22/6 despite a hiccup – 28 points, the BCI stood at 3,791, on 23/6 was up at 3,976…
The Panamaxes’ BPI clinched 23 points and now stands at 1,245 points. The rise was modest these last couple of days; 1,204 on 22/6 and 1,222 on 23/6…
Single digit rise for both the Supras and Handies; today both were up seven points standing at 674 and 381 points respectively. On 22/6 and 23/6 the BSI stood at 662 and 667 points, whilst the BHSI at 368 and 374 points respectively.
Once again, we repeat that one size does not creates nor dictates a market.
The Wets begin to touch bottom; the last published BDTI (Dirties) and BCTI (Cleans) stood at 459 – minus 14 and 408 – minus four points respectively. CAUTION! On 22 and 23/6 the figures stood at 496 and 473 for the Dirties and 402 and 412 for the Cleans respectively.
The WTI, on a falling mode, stood at US$ 37.92 down from US$ 40.13 yesterday… and US$ 40.48 last Monday CAUTION… It is a MUST same to remain low. If same goes up amid this Global Financial mess, then 101 centum: somebody is calling a fast one on humanity, end of the story.-
The Geopolitical situation gets worse every singly day…
The Migrants at the forefront and the apathy in high places, mainly in Brussels, is monumental! They do not give, with all due respect, a s… and allow Turkey, a non-EU country to bully Greece, Cyprus and others in the region. Add the fact that as summer is already here, many will attempt the crossing from civil war-torn Libya towards Europe. Greece and its islands cannot cope with this Turkish behaviour as on all counts, Turkey has strong backers, even within Europe – this is the end result and European verbal actions against Turkey fall in deaf ears… We are optimistic though as Nemesis , as always in History punishes all, and on this instance firstly Europe and then Turkey – just wait…
On the oil issue and interventions of the Turks in Central and East Med – including the Aegean Sea, even the French were targeted by the Turks – hence the NATO investigation vis-à-vis the incident between a Turkish naval ship close to create an accident with a French naval ship due to the Libyan mess – two NATO countries eh! will bother us for a long time…
We have stressed the dangers of and within the faulty line between Gib and Afghanistan and from the Caucuses to the Horn of Africa. Here are over ten hotspots which “encourage” many like Turkey to ignite a conflagration… Europe plays the most hypocritical game; SHAME! NATO should reconsider its policy towards Turkey !!
At the other side of the Atlantic the behaviour of the USA reminds the days of 1974 with the then president – the late Richard Nixon, embattled with the Watergate scandal, leaving Cyprus at the mercy of Kissinger’s partners, the Turks… We are NOT going to be surprised if we see Turkey advancing its provocations against Greece leading to an all-out war.
Libya, Syria and other nations in the region are at the mercy of Business and Political Hooligans who will make it a mess using their cronies in the region. Wonder how China will ensure and secure its gateway in Greece if hostilities spread and the Suez Canal once again closes. It will be a big melee in the region with incalculable repercussions for all and many countries will get involved. It will be the best time for warmongers, you dead well know what we mean… Indeed we have many times stressed and mentioned the old Greek maxim: “War father of all”, if you don’t destroy you cannot rebuilt, this is the pitiful message from history, BUT, repeat, BUT: You don’t betray your most staunch allies!
The Financial situation all over Planet Ocean since last year with its US$ 255 trillion global debt, now at US$ 260 trillion found a…” lifeboat”, the Coronavirus (COVID-19) anathema so the politicians save their neck… What an excuse eh! They all hide behind Coronavirus (COVID-19); wha an excuse, what a shield eh!
Europe in tatters with the financial aid to all EU nations now in total mess from both the on going Recession and the Coronavirus mess… What are we going to face next?
BREXIT still a stumbling block for all; another big CAUTION here and le us see how same is going to be implemented.
At the other side of the Atlantic, all eyes and minds are facing the forthcoming presidential election. CAUTION !
Racism of any kind MUST be controlled otherwise we will witness despicable events… Equally provocations by all sides…
All other regions on Planet Ocean remain with the same issues we have reported over the las three months with Africa in total mess, Central and South Latin America equally in a mess – a multy mess if you like it; Asia wih upcoming tensions in the Triangle around Kashmir not only having Pakistan and India at loggerheads but China too. Mind the embargoes too..
For Australia, the big question remains: Is Australia reliant on China and at what level and percentage?
Putin’s Russia continues its own agenda on all issues we mention above…
Lastly Japan keeps an eye on all events, not only in its close proximity – North Korea, China etc, but beyond… Never underestimate the Japanese…
Everybody tries to see the Tourist industry move ahead but… People cannot see beyond their nose… CAUTION!
The Coronavirus effect to all economies is devastating and be ready for mega troubles as the World leaders proved incompetent to tackle this pandemic. Is it the luck of a coherent health policy? What’s WHO’s real view? Is it greediness per our view that for a fistful of dollars we put human lives in danger?
Be prepared for the inevitable unless we see the politicians come down to their senses…

We repeat: Do please invest in Hospitals including Equipment, Doctors, Nurses and any useful means to avoid further disasters! Become more disciplined and care for the Environment too. Lastly: Education and Training for all to be able to tackle these disasters. Let’s work collectively together and NOT opt for a fistful of Dollars to restart the already collapsed global economy… which is in red US$ 260 (twohundredandsixty) trillion…
