Construction of jetty at West Jurong Channel
Friday, September 18, 2020, Singapore

From 23 September 2020 to 22 March 2021, works to construct a jetty will be carried out at West Jurong Channel, within the working area bounded by the following coordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
1) 01 deg. 17·354’N / 103 deg. 40·825’E
2) 01 deg. 17·404’N / 103 deg. 40·888’E
3) 01 deg. 17·444’N / 103 deg. 41·013’E
4) 01 deg. 17·380’N / 103 deg. 41·051’E
5) 01 deg. 17·272’N / 103 deg. 40·873’E

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.059 of 2020, the works will be conducted 24 hours daily, including Sundays and Public Holidays.

The construction of jetty involves piling work and lifting of construction materials. A safety boat will be deployed in the vicinity to warn other craft about the works.

Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear of the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;|
c) Proceed at a safe speed and to navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 22 (Jurong Control);
and
e) Communicate with Jurong Control for assistance, if required.

Marine site investigation at Deep Water Bay
Friday, September 18, 2020, Hong Kong

For approximately 3 months, marine site investigation works involving drilling of borehole will be carried out in the following location (WGS 84 Datum):
(A) 22 deg. 14.634’N / 114 deg. 10.792’E

The works will be carried out by one jack-up barge and one work boat. One tugboat will provide assistance.

A working area of approximately 20 metres around the barge will be established. Yellow flashing lights will be installed at the four corners of the barge to indicate its position.

The hours of work will be from 0800 to 1800 hours. No works will be carried out on Sundays and public holidays. Vessels employed for the works will stay in the works area outside the hours of work.

Vessels engaged in the operations will display signals as prescribed in international and local regulations.

Vessels navigating in the vicinity should proceed with caution.

Temporary loading facility at the former Kai Tak Airport Runway

A temporary loading facility has been established at the former Kai Tak Airport Runway. The temporary loading facility will operate for a period of approximately 4 months.

One derrick lighter, one flat top barge and two tugboats will berth at the facility within the operation area bounded by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (A) to (D) and the adjacent shoreline for loading operation:
(A) 22 deg. 18.949’N / 114 deg. 12.093’E
(B) 22 deg. 18.910’N / 114 deg. 12.052’E
(C) 22 deg. 19.037’N / 114 deg. 11.909’E
(D) 22 deg. 19.076’N / 114 deg. 11.950’E

The hours of operation will be from 0700 to 1900 hours. No operation will be carried out on Sundays and public holidays. Vessels engaged in the operation will stay in the operation area outside the hours of operation.

Quarantine requirement at terminals
Friday, September 18, 2020, Nigeria

All vessels calling below mentioned terminals are required to undergo the 14 day quarantine process prior to arrival at load port:

Total : Akpo, Odudu, Egina
ExxonMobil : Erha, Usan, Qua Iboe and Yoho
At Shell and Chevron operated terminals, the Master is required to complete questionnaires and daily body temperatures.

Oil berth unavailable
Friday, September 18, 2020, Lome, Togo

The oil berth at Lome’s STSL OIL terminal is unavailable from today (18 September) until 24 September, to enable retrieval of mooring fenders which may damage vessels’ hull anti-fouling coatings.
