Market fights to remain buoyant; messy Geopolitics whilst Covid-19 spreads
Double and single digits ups and downs raises eyebrows for the Dry Market with no steam, for the Wets stagnation, an issue. Mess Geopolitics will become a boomerang for many powerful World leaders and wonder who can stop Coronavirus (COVID-19). John Faraclas’ brief recap:
The BDI (Baltic Dry Index) clinched three points since yesterday and now stands at 1,115…
The Capes’ BCI lost 36 points and now stands at 1,414…
On the antipode the three main Dry indices all with a plus; the Panamaxes’ BPI up 39 at 1,291, the Supras’ BSI up 12 conquering the 900 points threshold… Five plus points for the Handies’ BHSI now at 593 and let’s hope the 600 points is within reach… Hope we will soon have some good news…
No good news from the Wets today; the last published BDTI (Dirties) and BCTI (Cleans) stood at 431 – minus one and 345 – no change respectively.
The WTI was up 39 cents since yesterday and now stands at US$ 41,64. CAUTION as whatever is above the US$ 40,00 mark is lethal and against the wellbeing of 7.7 billion people out of 7.8 on Planet Ocean…
In the Geopolitical spectrum Planet Ocean eagerly expects with mixed feelings the end of the USA’s presidential elections and the final occupant of the Oval Office. It is about time to end this uncertainty once and for all. For us, the right time to demand a Universal Election System – the UN Secretary-General MUST do something for this important issue. Tradition is Tradition, Reality yet Reality meaning we witness despicable events surrounding elections in many many countries.
