BDA Recap: Recent Updates, News and Notable Events in Bermuda

Hamilton, Bermuda, December 17, 2021 — The Bermuda Business Development Agency (BDA) is excited to share our recent updates, showcase upcoming events and celebrate the end of the year by recapping a busy season filled with success, learning and opportunity we’ve seen in Bermuda. BDA CEO Featured In Bermuda Finance 2021/2022
BDA CEO, David Hart, was featured in the annual Bermuda Finance magazine. The magazine examines the forces driving and shaping Bermuda’s economy. Also featured in the magazine was a write up by Bermuda’s Minister of Finance, the Hon. Curtis Dickinson, JP, MP, highlighting why Bermuda is the ideal environment for the provision of innovative climate risk finance solutions. Read more.


BDA Promotes Climate Risk Finance at New York City Roadshow
The BDA promoted Bermuda’s strengths and aspirations to develop and grow a new Climate Risk Finance (CRF) economic pillar during the latest CRF roadshow in New York City (NYC). Across four days, from November 29 – December 2, the BDA delegation – led by Bermuda’s Minister of Finance, the Hon. Curtis Dickinson, JP, MP – engaged with leading global capital allocators that have combined assets under management of nearly $11 trillion. Learn more.

BDA Champions Bermuda’s Strengths at COP 26

The BDA successfully promoted Bermuda as the world’s climate risk finance capital at the 26th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26) in Glasgow, Scotland in November. The BDA, in partnership with the Association of Bermuda Insurers and Reinsurers (ABIR), hosted a luncheon for a diverse group of 30 climate leaders and potential partners from around the globe featuring Bermuda’s Deputy Premier, Minister of Home Affairs, the Hon. Walter Roban, JP, MP.
