Not a good start for the Markets, Geopolitics …and Covid
The BDI (Baltic Dry Index) was down one point since last Friday the 4th of February 2022 and now reads 1,422. Are we back to square one with the new Ukrainian …saga as well as with Turkey’s behaviour? Why can’t we …defend ourselves against the Covid-19 anathema? John Faraclas’ brief daily brief:
Capes’ BCI once again “ruled” the fall as with 94 points down make’s everybody wondering… At 1,148 points and losing the 1,200 points threshold sends caution messages…
Panamaxes BPI surpassed the 1,800 points threshold and now reads 1,855 – up 59… excellent!
44 plus points lift the Supras above the 1,600 points threshold and now the BSI stands at 1,638…
Finally the Handies try to go over and above the 1,000 points threshold with six plus points and now the BHSI reads 996…
Still a low Dry Market and let’s hope now that the end of the Chinese New Year approaches, we might see a different picture; hopefully a good one…
The Wets “managed” well today; the last published BDTI (Dirties) and BCTI (Cleans) sto for both until ood at 682 and 593 up three and four points respectively… A long way to go for the relieving level of 1,000 points for both..
The WTI was down 99 cents at US$ 91,32 CAUTION….
In Geopolitics Ukraine will create earthquakes and tsunamis no matter what “will” happen. Europe MUST be 100 centum U n i t e d; no excuses please!
