Norwegian British Chamber of Commerce, on behalf of our partners, members, and Norwegian companies and business people across the length and breadth of the UK and Norway, are saddened to hear of the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
We offer our condolences to King Charles III, the Royal Family, the British people, the people of the Commonwealth, and individuals everywhere whose lives she touched.
The second cousin to King Harald of Norway, HRH’s first foreign visit after becoming Queen in 1952 was to Norway, and during her long reign, she embodied the continuity of the close relationship between our two countries. Her reassuring presence has, for over 70 years, been one of Britain’s great strengths, and a ‘constant’ in all of our lives.
