Ukraine’s President Zelenskly has told French media that the 84 Ukrainian oligarchs and other very rich compatriots who constitute the so-called Monaco Battalion may have to answer to the law. “Those who have not respected it will have to be held responsible,” he said. However, he also tempered his comments; “And then there is a question of morality. On this point, it is difficult for me to comment. Let me not tell you what I think of each of them. I cannot generalise. Some had the right to make that choice. They may have been afraid, they may have wanted to evacuate their children, some surely had other reasons.”
