Today our Christian Orthodox Church honors the Annunciation of the Mother of God and Hellenism celebrates its 203rd Anniversary from the Day of the start of the Greek War of Independence from the Ottoman yoke in 1821! The War at Sea was unique!!
An unusual shot – lucky me, of a helicopter and the dove of Peace flying above the skies of Falifornia!
Parades took place in all five continents of Planet Ocean and the main one in Athens!
There was also dancing at Posidonos Avenue from folklore dances from Epirus… (see picture above)
and a gathering of Army Veterans, including some from Greece’s special forces and frogmen! (see picture above)
