Dr. Maray Georgoussi interviews John Faraclas on Acheloos TV about Posidonia 2024, current issues of Shipping and Geopolitics

by admin

At the beginning of this Acheloos program, which was aired yesterday, we also have Theodoros Pantoulias, the general manager of the Mediterranee Hotel, a seafront four star hotel in Cephalonia, on tourism there, the post covid period as well as the expectations for the current touristic season with tourists from the United Kingdom being the 50-60 centum, followed by the Dutch, Austrians and others. The British arrive from as early mid May and depart in mid to end October! A very interesting account given his views for the much needed improvement of island’s infrastructure and other issues developing further the island’s touristic product; he sounded optimistic!

Viewers can watch from 12’18’’ here below the live account / views of Faraclas on:

  • Posidonia 2024 – yet another successful international event in the sphere of Shipping were Greece marvels.
  • The Maritime Education and Training in Greece
  • The Greek Shipyards issue
  • The Energy issue vis-a-vis the ships propulsion
  • The ongoing wars in Ukraine and Gaza which might trigger a wider periphery war on both cases… two issues which we have warned from the right beginning on canvas.
  • On Sanctions…
  • The results and attitude of the European Union public on the recent Euro-elections.
  • The forthcoming British elections in early July as well as those of in USA in November – both very crucial for geopolitics all over planet ocean…
  • Lastly on some issues bothering Greece such as the pavements and getting more shipshape and Bristol fashion way of life…

We express once again our thanks to journalist Achilleas Papadionysiou for organising this interview, as well as to the presenter Dr. Maray Georgoussi, specialist professor of Arts History and former lecturer at the Ionian University for her style, delivery and questions.

We look forward to your comments.
