Welcome to an open workshop on the potential of wind ship propulsion in Athens!

The Greek Section of SNAME and RISE (the Research Institutes of SWEDEN) are jointly organizing an open workshop on the potential of wind ship propulsion in Athens. The event is specifically directed towards ship owners, ship managers and ship operators who want to learn more about the potential and prospects of wind-assistance technologies.

Experts from RISE will present the latest regarding wind-powered ships, discuss how wind propulsion influences ship operation, and how it can help to improve fuel efficiency, EEXI ratings and CII values.

Six leading providers of wind propulsion technologies will present their systems and be available for questions.

Representatives of major Class Societies and of the Greek Shipping industry will be discussing the prospects of wind ship propulsion in the light of most recent technological and regulatory developments.

The participation at the workshop is free of charge thanks to the coverage of the catering by sponsorships of BV, ABS, DNV and OceanKing. A pre-registration is required for all participants of the event.
