From 2025, Ole Lund Madsen will take up the position of CFO with responsibility for finance and administration at the business port in Rønne.
The 61-year-old Ole Lund Madsen brings extensive maritime management experience with him when, with over three decades of experience from Maersk Line, i.a. as seconded CFO at several country offices, takes up the position as new CFO at Rønne Havn. For the past ten years, Ole Lund Madsen has held the position of CFO in a Danish start-up company and a production company in Zealand.
“Rønne Havn has strengthened its commercial market position through expansions in recent years. This new position requires an increased focus on financial management and an evolution of our way of running a commercial business port. With Ole Lund Madsen as new CFO, we have found the right person to take on this task. Ole brings solid management experience and a strong maritime background, which will both be an advantage for the port’s organization and its interaction with Bornholm’s business community,” says Jess Persson, chairman of the board of Rønne Havn.
Ole Lund Madsen was born and raised in Esbjerg and is the son of a fishing skipper.
“I have always had a close connection to the port environment in Esbjerg, and with over 30 years at Maersk Line, the maritime sector has filled a very large part of my working life. I look forward to returning to the maritime industry and contributing to the professionalization and development of the Port of Rønne. I hope to be able to help develop the port’s many business areas and further develop the port to not only be a busy business port, but also a significant player on Bornholm and a driving force for business development in Eastern Denmark. I have a lot of respect for the tremendous work already done by the current management and CFO, and I look forward to getting to know the organization and the employees. Finally, I am also looking forward to a close dialogue with the local companies and stakeholders,” says Ole Lund Madsen.
The current finance director, Max Hansen, will resign his position at the end of the year, when he will retire.

Ole Lund Madsen is 61 years old and lives in Birkerød with his wife Jane. Together they have a 32-year-old son and a 29-year-old daughter.
