WISTA U.K celebrated its festive spirit at the annual Christmas party hosted by Wikborg Rein, a key player in the maritime sector down in London’s Square Mile. It continued the 50 year celebrations – guests were welcomed by Anna Devereux, partner at Wikborg Rein.
Monica Kohli president WISTA UK expressed gratitude to the hosts for their warm hospitality and thanked them for making it an annual event in the Wista UK calendar. Chris Shirling-Rook, CEO Maritime UK also addressed the attendees and focused on the growth and importance of maritime clusters and the work they are doing to expand the maritime vision.
The evening was filled with cheer, including a raffle organized by Anna and Eleanor, with generous prizes including champagne , wines and Swarovski crystals, Xmas crackers donated by Wikborg Rein., Eleanor Midwinter and WISTA UK. The event offered an opportunity for professionals to network, celebrate the season, and support the maritime community’s continued success.
Excellent drinks – what a taste that was with that red fortified sweet wine, and dips, lovely sweets and great service by the catering department and all from the hosts.
Men were a minority… spotted Les Chapman, Master at The Honourable Company of Master Mariners and Michael Volikas from the hosts.
