DULY NOTED Tuesday, February 25, 2025 Monaco and its surrounding region saw intense storm activity in 2024, with the Var and Alpes-Maritimes ranking among the top 10 most lightning-struck departments in France, recording 1,316 and 1,252 strikes respectively, while the PACA region placed sixth overall, with major storm episodes concentrated between June and August, impacting cities like Fréjus, Saint-Raphaël, and Roquebrune-sur-Argens, though Haute-Marne recorded the most strikes and Arles was the most affected city. |
