Eight high school students from Monaco’s François d’Assise-Nicolas Barré Institution experienced their first helicopter flight, taking the controls mid-air as part of an aeronautics certificate programme. The flights, organised in partnership with the Monaco Aeroclub, marked a milestone in the students’ hands-on training after months of theory and simulator sessions. Their teacher, Michel Franquin, said the goal is to open up possibilities and inspire new ambitions, something clearly achieved as the students landed with smiles, awe, and a sense of flight-fueled freedom.
