Dear Members, and potential Members,
Get ready! The Adopt a ShipTM program, PROJECT CONNECT’s exceptional learning tool that teaches young students about the maritime world and life at sea embarks on its 8th school voyage on November 3rd.
This is your opportunity to be a part of the wonderful movement for maritime culture education in our school systems and give your children – the children of Greece – a chance of a lifetime.

Our Adopt a Ship Captains and Crew teach them about a culture that opens horizons and their minds to endless possibilities. A culture that offers prosperous livelihoods. A culture that teaches resilience and prepares our young to possess the agility that a successful happy life will require of them. You can participate by:
Enrolling your vessel(s) to be “adopted” by a school class.
Enrolling in your child’s school to be matched with a ship.
This 5-month school program has seen extraordinary success and a significant impact on students’ and crew’s lives. We invite you to be an integral part of this effort.

About PROJECT CONNECT
Project Connect is a leading, internationally recognized non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing youth employability and raising awareness of the significance of the maritime industry and the seafaring profession. We strive to create empathy for these essential workers and motivate them through recognition.
We achieve our mission by building critical connections through a variety of initiatives:
- Educational Programs: We operate Adopt a ShipTM, a measurable systemic program with 8 years of data and assessments, educating young students about the maritime world, the Vessels Book and the 3D virtual shipping company tour.
- Practical Work Experiences & Professional Readiness Workshops: We provide the necessary Internships, and Apprenticeships, for practical work and office environment and self-awareness workshops that help build the skill sets essential for a successful career – a successful life.
- Connecting Candidates and Companies: Our state-of-the-art, yet simple-to-use CONNECT CV Platform directly links potential candidates with shipping companies. (An HR favorite and costless recruiting tool). Our Short Sea Travel Experience and Adopt an EPAL Programs are our latest developments.
As a pioneering hub for recruiting fresh talent for the shipping industry, we are always eager to welcome new programs and build new synergies that benefit our youth and, by extension, our society. We work hand-in-hand with business leaders, educational institutions, trade associations, and government agencies to achieve our mission.
Most recently, PROJECT CONNECT was recognized and honored at the LISW25 (London International Shipping Week 2025) as one of the four charities.

Thank you for your attention. Looking forward to your soonest response.
