Emma Collier of further and further attended the International Propeller Club Port of Piraeus Donors Dinner at the Grand Hyatt Athens Hotel which was more than an enjoyable event on all counts!

She managed to have Costis Frangoulis*, current president as well as president of the International Propeller Club, and XRTC’s Capt. George Xyradakis, who served in the recent past as president of the International Propeller Club Port of Piraeus, on the tiny mic, which viewers can listen here below live in the two video/podcasts.

George Xiradakis

George Xiradakis, a shipping financier and maritime consultant, discussed his extensive experience and roles, including President of the Association of Banking and Financial Executives and Vice President of the Chinese Hellenic Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the love he has for his work. He highlighted Costis Frangoulis’s recent achievement as the first non-American to be elected President of the International Propeller Club a great honor for the Greek Market. He stressed the importance of international expansion, particularly in emerging markets like India, Indonesia, and Africa, and the roles younger leaders can play as well as the critical business connections between China and the U.S., noting the need for balance and opportunities beyond AI.

Costis Frangoulis, President of the International Propeller Club, Port of Piraeus, 2nd Vice President of the International Propeller Club of the United States, expressed gratitude for the high attendance and successful evening at this year’s Propeller Club Donors Dinner. He emphasized the importance of active membership for the club’s success, and the club’s significant growth from 220 members in 2020 to nearly 1100, underscoring its role as the largest networking organization in shipping. The Club’s role in fostering cooperation between Greece and the US, as well as with other nations, with its focus on uniting parties for business, is one he looks forward to continuing to evolve and grow with input and inspiration from its growing membership and supporters.
