Speed And Performance Claims – Gone With The Wind
This is a role-play / mock arbitration on the subject of speed and performance claims. There are two scenarios: one where the owners have the upper hand, one where the charterers are on top. The participants are: an owner, a charterer, a weather routing company, a marine biologist and an arbitrator.
A lot of the arguments raised will be familiar, but are expressed in extreme outbursts of temper to show their true nature as often expressed in correspondence between the parties when they are exchanging their heart-felt points of view. No lasting offence is meant….
