Under the auspices of the General Secretariat for Greeks Abroad and Public Diplomacy, the 4th Greek International Women Awards (GIWA) took place on November 24th at the emblematic Hellenic Cosmos Cultural Centre, honouring for the fourth consecutive year Greek women who excel across the globe. More than 700 attendees joined an evening filled with inspiration, powerful stories, and an atmosphere reminiscent of the Oscars, with live performances, dance acts, and impressive stage design.
The ceremony was hosted by Katerina Gagaki and Tasos Tryfonos, with music curated by DJ Avgoustinos and a special performance by the beloved Greek singer Iro.
This year’s ceremony marked the launch of the strategic partnership between GIWA and the Women’s Entrepreneurship & Leadership Organisation, led by Sofia Kounenaki Efraimoglou, who now serves as the institution’s Strategic Partner.
Honouree of the evening was the GIWA Ambassador, Mimi Denisi, whose presence and stature highlighted the importance of women’s empowerment and Greek excellence worldwide.
A total of 17 Greek women from Greece and abroad were awarded for their contribution and achievements across diverse professional fields.
The Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Litsa Panagiotopoulou for her long-standing contribution and distinguished career in technology and education.
