December 16, 2025 — Following the tremendous success of SHIPPINGInsight’s 2025 SHARK TANK event in Houston, TX, entrants are now being accepted for contestants (“chum”) to participate at Posidonia 2026, taking place June 1–5 in Athens, Greece. Six emerging maritime technology companies will be selected to showcase their innovations in SHIPPINGInsight’s New Tech Pavillion, as well as participate in its SHARK TANK during the “Trading in U.S. Waters” program on June 4, bringing forward solutions that can strengthen U.S. shipbuilding, and fleet modernization. The June 4th program is hosted by the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce, NAMEPA, the US Embassy, the Propeller Club of Piraeus, and the Hellenic Chamber of Shipping.

SHIPPINGInsight’s SHARK TANK is designed to spotlight startup companies whose technologies can reshape the future of maritime operations. This year’s Posidonia edition will highlight solutions emerging from U.S. maritime innovators. All technologies need to be U.S.-based and must demonstrate how their innovation supports maritime operational progression.

Selected companies will present on stage at SHIPPINGInsight’s SHARK TANK during the June 4 program, gaining exposure to an audience of global shipowners, operators, technology leaders, and potential investors. In addition to stage time, participating companies will be featured at the Posidonia Exhibition in SHIPPINGInsight’s New Tech Pavillion, and throughout SHIPPINGInsight’s Posidonia communications and will be considered for additional visibility within SHIPPINGInsight’s 2026 U.S. programming.

Companies interested in applying should submit a brief company overview, explanation of the maritime challenge they address, details on their technology and variation, current stage and traction, and a clear description of how their solution aligns with U.S. maritime priorities. Reach out to Carleen Walker, c.walker@shippinginsight.com , with the subject line “CHUM Application – [Company Name] – Posidonia 2026,” to learn more about participating. The cost for participating in SHIPPINGInsight’s SHARK TANK and New Tech Pavillion is $6500.

Application Deadline: February 13th, 2026. Out of the six slots, only four remain so reach out soon!

SHIPPINGInsight will prioritize startups with compelling innovation potential, strong relevance to U.S. trade or shipbuilding modernization, and a clear trajectory toward industry adoption within the next several years.
