Wrist, the world’s largest supplier of provisions, stores and spare parts logistics for vessels
and offshore, today announces the acquisition of Delaware Ship Supply in New Jersey, a
maritime supplier with more than a century of industry experience. The acquisition further
strengthens Wrist’s commercial and operational presence along the U.S. East Coast
corridor.
In acquiring Delaware Ship Supply, Wrist is expanding its operational footprint and geographical
scope, supporting the company’s goal of continuously expanding its global marine services and
supply network.
“We’re excited to welcome Don Rush and his colleagues in Delaware Ship Supply,” says Jens
Holger Nielsen, Group CEO of Wrist. “With more than 100 years of experience, Delaware Ship
Supply has built a strong reputation serving American and international customers with marine
supplies across the major ports of New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and
Maryland. I am confident that our customers will benefit from the combined capabilities and
synergies of Wrist and Delaware Ship Supply.”
Wrist currently operates in 11 North American locations, including Montreal, Vancouver,
Seattle, Portland, San Francisco/Oakland, Los Angeles/Long Beach, Houston, Corpus Christi,
New Orleans, Jacksonville and New York/New Jersey. The addition of a new Branch in Southern
New Jersey will give customers improved access to marine supplies in key Northeastern U.S.
ports – from New York and New Jersey to Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland and Virginia –
enhancing services across the region.
Delaware Ship Supply services all major Northeast ports and provides provisions, technical
products, spare parts logistics and a wide range of global niche cuisine items, backed by deep
industry expertise and long-standing relationships built over generations.
“As part of Wrist, Delaware Ship Supply gains significant opportunities beyond traditional Ship
Supply,” says Don Rush, CEO of Delaware Ship Supply. “We will be able to expand our customer
offerings overseas through the global Wrist network and enhance our customer value
proposition through Wrist’s advanced digital customer platforms. But most importantly,
partnering with Wrist will allow us to serve our customers even better,” concludes Don Rush.
Delaware Ship Supply will be rebranded as Wrist Delaware.
