AICatalyst is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with AMMITEC – the Association of IT & Communications Executives of Shipping Companies, focused on the development and promotion of Artificial Intelligence in the maritime sector.
On behalf of AICatalyst, the MoU was signed AMMITEC was represented its President Matthew Maheras, Thanos Markantonis, VP of AICatalyst, with the participation of Board Member Pantelis Lamprou.
🚀 This collaboration also marks the launch of a new Maritime AI Vertical / AI & Shipping Working Group within AICatalyst.
The new vertical will be led by President of AMMITEC and member of AICatalyst Matthew Maheras, Demetris Gerogiannis, President of AICatalyst, will participate on behalf of the Board, while AICatalyst member SOFIA PAPADIMITRIOU will coordinate the working group.
The ambition is clear: to create a focused space where the AI ecosystem and the maritime industry can come together to exchange knowledge, explore practical use cases, develop synergies and identify opportunities where AI can create real operational and strategic value.
For Greece, this matters.
Shipping is a sector of global significance and national importance. Artificial Intelligence has the potential to contribute meaningfully to its next phase of innovation, resilience and competitiveness – provided that adoption is practical, responsible and connected to real industry needs.
