JOINT PARIS AND TOKYO MEMORANDA OF UNDERSTANDING CONCENTRATED INSPECTION CAMPAIGN (CIC): CARGO SECURING
The Member Authorities of the Tokyo and the Paris Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) on Port State Control (PSC) will launch a joint Concentrated Inspection Campaign (CIC) on cargo securing of cargo units and cargo transport units.
The CIC will be conducted from September 1, 2026 to November 30, 2029. The objective of the campaign is to collect data on compliance with current SOLAS Convention requirements with respect to the loading, stowage and securing of cargo units and cargo transport units. Vessels will be subject to only one inspection under the CIC during the period, per MOU.
Port State Control Officers will use a pre-defined questionnaire to assess compliance. A copy of the questionnaire can be found by clicking here.
