Monaco is preparing for the Grand Départ of the Vuelta this weekend, with around 6,000 barriers being deployed to secure Saturday’s 9.4km individual time trial and the start of the second stage on Sunday. Organisers are carefully scheduling installation work to minimise disruption to residents, businesses and visitors, although vehicle movements will be heavily restricted during the race itself and 25 protected pedestrian crossing points will be available. With riders expected to reach speeds exceeding 50km/h, spectators are being reminded to remain vigilant along the route and follow instructions from officials.
