Italian artist Pier Paolo Calzolari, a leading figure of the Arte Povera movement, is being celebrated with an exhibition of recent works at 21Art Monaco. The show explores his search for lightness and elegance through an unusual combination of natural and industrial materials, including salt, pigments, lead and paper soaked in milk. Through the transformation of these materials, Calzolari invites visitors to contemplate the physical object itself rather than simply its representation, reflecting the radical artistic ideas that emerged in Italy during the 1960s.
